IT'S A NEW YEAR, I WANT YOU TO OPERATE YOUR CLUB, YOUR BAR, YOUR LOUNGE
BY EXAMPLE, SO...........................................I AM FIRST SHOWING
YOU UPFRONT AND 100% FACTUAL, WHAT I DO NOT WANT YOU TO DO.
Not less than four months ago, a brand new nightclub opened up in my area,
over $1million plus, plus, plus was spent remodeling, renovating and
readying this club.
Yet here in Jan. of 2007, this brand new club, is doing exactly what is
wrong, wrong, wrong and worse, creating the most obvious "PANIC PROMOTING"
method of operating, I have ever witnessed in such a short life span of a
brand new nightclub.
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS:
A. Please, Do not resort to the 1980's and offer a "SINK OR SWIM" Night.
Why would you take a beautiful brand new Nightclub and start off with a
drink special that is so old, so dangerous, so risky, so pathetic, that you
to offering patrons all they can drink, just to do business?
I mean can't you come up with any "FUN" or any "WOW FACTORS"?
Are you that desperate for business, that you let your patrons just drink,
drink, drink and drink some more "ALL NIGHT" as you advertise it, and offer
reason to frequent your brand new Nightclub?
What kind of patron do you attract with a "Sink or Swim" Night?
What kind of behavior and civility do you expect them to display?
What kind of Women are going to put up with the rude, crude and lewd
remarks, and actions of these male patrons who are doing nothing but
drinking one drink after another to insure they get their money's worth.
I offered "Sink or Swim" Nights, back in 1981, that is when they were
the rage, because that was the mentality of clubs in those days.
Between Patrons getting sick, patrons acting in ways I will not
even describe, we chose to cancel the night, because there was no
upside to this "BE A DRUNK AS FAST AS YOU CAN DRINK EM DOWN"
Yet now, I have to shake my head this club turns to the least
effective, most grovel type of special to bring in bodies.
This is why Liquor Liability Premiums are sky high and soaring,
because of irresponsible and totally ignorant Nightclubs like this one is.
B. Please, DO NOT LET 18 YEAR OLD GIRLS IN YOUR NIGHTCLUB, ON THE NIGHT
YOUR OFFERING SINK OR SWIM
This same Nightclub, this brand new Club is not only offering the worse case
scenario of "SINK OR SWIM" but on this very same night, they are inviting
Underage girls 18 and up to party.
What is this Owner thinking?
Has he lost his mind?
What purpose does it serve to subject 18, 19, and 20 year old female patrons,
who can't drink, to be part of a night, where the entire activity all night
is drink till you drop?
Why would you risk the safety of these young Female Patrons, and put them in
such an environment?
What do you expect these underage Female Patrons to do all night, except to
try and sneak a drink from someone?
Who is going to stop them?
Never should any Nightclub subject minor females to legal age Males who are
drinking all they want, all they can, all night long.
C. Please, NEVER, EVER HOLD A "HOT BODY" CONTEST a "HOT BODY" Contest
Once again this same brand new Nightclub goes back in time, before Beyonce
was even born to hold a Contest that is so out of style, so out of place, so
uncool, even the words "HOT BODY" are like using "hey man this is groovy."
"HOT BODY" contests are demeaning, and attract all the wrong kind of
You want Seductive, yet Stylish Events that pack them in and draws Women,
Women and more Women.
Not a disrespecting, trashy worded, exploiting, no logical reason to hold
"HOT BODY" Contest.
Do you mean to tell me that is the most creative you can be?
That is the best Contest you can come up with in 2007?
You expect to draw quality Females into this type of meat on parade Contest?
Why would you hold this kind of crass, zero creativity garbage Contest on a

If you can't pack your Friday Nights, without drink specials and minus a

Since When did Nightclubs become Movie Theaters?
Your giving away the Cover, your giving away the bar, and you want Patrons
to watch movies all night?
What is the purpose of this entire exercise in investing all this money into
this brand new Nightclub to show movies?
I forgot to ask if "HAPPY FEET" will be playing?
Maybe, "BORAT" will be making a personal appearance, ya think?
NOW WHAT YOU SHOULD DO THIS NEW YEAR:
Carefully Review all your marketing and advertising, if it is not working,
don't wait another week. CANCEL IT. DO IT NOW and stop wasting your valuable
Take a long hard look at your Nightly Promotions, I don't mean the drink
specials or cheap beer, or free cover charge, I mean
what your offering your patrons as "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTORS"?
Are you providing enough clubertainment to pack your club
Is your DJ part of the "BLAST" or the "BORE" of your club?
Does he or she dress in style, speak in vogue, spin in synch
mix and cut to pack the dance floor?
Are you taking advantage of every single facet of revenue
generating forms, that your club, your bar, your lounge, your
night life adventure have, or are you missing out on thousands of dollars
that you just don't know how to implement these new
avenues of cash return?
Why are you allowing your competition to simply own nights
that you can go head to head with them and beat them at their
Why simply throw in the towel and let them bury you on nights you should be
taking back the nights?
When are you going to listen to fresh new ideas and concepts and stop
operating in denial?
What is it going to take to motivate you to turn the page on the old ways
and face the facts, your club, your bar, your lounge is not even two years

Finally, be honest with yourself, Think about your club, your atmosphere,
your image in the Community, your staff, your quality of patrons, your
format, your overall operation and ask yourself one question " IS THIS THE
BEST I CAN DO?"
